1st team’s last match of season was at home to Knowle & Dorridge, and the photo shows the moment the game was won. DCC 235-7 passing K&D’s 231-9 in the 49th over. Gary Hawkins was 112*. Depending on how the results went that day, K&D could have won the League, and DCC could have been relegated.
Neither happened.

Overall the Season was a Good One for DCC, even though the 1sts took things to the wire with the win against rivals K&D (above) in the last game.
The 2nds finished 3rd and the 3rds finished 2nd in their respective Divisions, and our Sunday Social side enjoyed another great season of friendly cricket. P9 W7 L2 and giving great opportunities for many of our talented youngsters to play Senior Cricket.

A few 1XI highlights for the season included Gary Hawkins’ 112* v K&D as above, Chris Wright’s 101* v Kenilworth Wardens and his 9.4-2-15-5 & Dave Ball’s 5-59 v Wolverhampton. Ifti Ahmad 5-24 v Ombersley.

For the 2XI Grant Harrison hit a little matter of 179 (incl 33×4) v Barnards Green, 111 against Stourbridge, and 85* v Rugby. Nathan Myers 88 v Handsworth. Jon Rhodes 80 v Old Elizabethans. Chris Leavers 5-26 v Redditch, George Seeley 5-34 v Rugby. Matt Saghabashi 5-49 v Barnards Green.
